Katie Maier is a college freshman and Girl Scout Ambassador from Atlanta, Georgia. A member of Girl Scout Troop 11461 since first grade, she served as troop co-president throughout high school. Her Gold Award project, Picture Your Path, combined her passion for making visual arts with her love of the outdoors as she collected artwork from local kids to turn into a series of murals along walking/biking trail Path400. Outside of Girl Scouts, she has been involved in Model United Nation as the founder and leader of her school's chapter and as a state official, and she created an English language tutoring program between students at her high school and students at a secondary school in Tanzania. She plans to study international relations and studio art in college so that she can continue to grow as a servant leader and global citizen.
