More about Brekke

Brekke Pattison is a senior at Murray High School. She has been a Girl Scout for 13 years and has received her Bronze Award, Silver Award, and Gold Award. Brekke worked as an intern with the Girl Scouts of Utah's summer residence camps. Under the camp name "Tinkerbell", Brekke worked with girls using the skills she had learned from the camp's leadership camp programs. She worked mainly with younger children aged 5-8 years old. This experience has lead her to develop her future goal of become a pediatrician.

Brekke is going into college next year going for a chemistry major with an emphasis in biology. She then plans on going to medical school. Brekke's career goal helped her decide on her Girl Scout Gold Award project.  Her project was to educate people on how vaccines work in a way that went into the science, but in a way that people could understand. Brekke's project was Vacc-U-Cation: An Education on the Science of Vaccines and has spread to pediatric offices and college classrooms on a global scale. Brekke is also involved track, cross-country, jazz band, symphonic band, and Peer Leadership Team.
